Preventive Care
- Annual Healthcare Examinations: We recommend yearly examinations for prevention of disease and to ensure your companion is at its optimal health. Cats, dogs, birds, pocket pets, and reptiles should receive an annual exam.

- Annual Parasite Checks
- Canine Heartworm
- Dogs should have their blood drawn yearly to check for heartworms. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquito bites that will lodge into a dogs heart, lungs, and surrounding vessels. Dogs should be given monthly heart worm preventative and tested yearly. If positive, dogs require compulsory heartworm treatment. - Internal Parasites
- Animals should have a fecal test performed to see if there are any internal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms etc. Please bring in a stool sample to your annual exam. - External Parasites
- Dogs and cats can contract fleas or ticks. These can carry more serious diseases. On annual exams, we check the skin to look for fleas or signs of fleas. Mention any ticks seen on your animal at your annual exam.
